Skincare Tips for the Wintertime Months

January 14, 2009

Today’s article contributed by Kim Synder of Overallbeauty.com

During the winter months your skin and body over all need a little extra TLC. With the cold air outside and the recycled heat instead, its not surprising your skin may get dry and itchy. This is the time of year to moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize even more from your hair to your toes.

One way you might start off caring for your body is start taking warm baths again. Did you know that a warm bath has a hydrating effect on your skin? You can start now by trying all those really wonderful scented bath oils to help sooth away the stress of your day and help your dry skin as well. After your bath be sure to apply a rich body moisturizer to your still damp skin to help bring out its natural glow.

With your elbows, knees and heels not seeing the sunshine for the next few months its time to remember they still need to be exfoliated at least one a week. Dry patchy skin on your legs is such a no no when its easy to remove it by using a organic body scrub once a week. Be careful because many of the best organic body scrubs were created using naturals oils and that can make your tub a little slippery as well. Stay away from any body scrub created with mineral oil because its not natural and just not good for you. Body scrubs help bring out the natural glow as well because you are removing the dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull and washout. Exfoliation makes it easier for your skin to absorb moisture, remove surface debris and can even out the overall texture of your skin.

Winter means it is also time to change your skincare routine, specially if you already have dry skin. It your skin is normal you still need to watch out to make sure it doesn’t turn into dry skin. Start by selecting a creamier cleanser and a richer moisturizer than the one you may have been using the rest of the year. If your skin feels tight after cleansing it you may be using a harsh cleanser and that’s just not good for your skin.

Don’t forget your night time moisturizers including moisturizing your skin all over your body. It helps keep your skin feeling soft and touchable not dry and itchy. Look into using organic/natural skincare products when ever possible because the less ingredients there are in the product the less chance you have of having a bad reaction to it.

Taking the time to change your skincare routine for the winter months will make you feel better, look better and feel more confident knowing you are showing the best you have to offer to the whole world.

How To Make Your Skin Look 10 Years Younger

July 17, 2008

Once we hit 30, age starts to take its toll on our skin. Colour and texture becomes less vibrant, wrinkles and sagging start to occur, pores enlarge, capillaries break around the cheeks and nose. Once we hit 40, age spots start appear on hands, cheeks and forehead. But there are things we can do to maintain our skin’s healthy glow into our 50s, 60s and beyond, and best of all… they’re all natural.

Promoting oxygen flow to the skin results in a visibly better skin tone. Learn to breathe deeply at a yoga class and take foods high in antioxidants to maximise the effects. Such foods include: kale, blackberries, broccoli, spinach and plums which all have a high oxygen radical absorbency capacity (ORAC)

Base your diet around skin saving vitamins. Consume fresh fruit and vegetables high in vitamins A, C and E. Vitamin C is essential for healing, skin cell regeneration and plumping. Vitamin E encourages circulation to promote radiance.

Hydration is essential for healthy, young looking skin. Dry skin makes wrinkles more obvious. Drink between 6-8 glasses of water daily to plump up skin, give hair gloss, flush out toxins from the system and relieve headaches that can lead to frown lines.

Apply moisture whilst still damp, immediately after you get out of the shower or the bath. This seals in the moisture and acts as a barrier to environmental conditions, such as wind. Essential fats are also important for retaining moisture. Consume foods such as sardines, mackerel, flaxseed, avocados, nuts and seeds. Use nut, seed and fruit oils for massage oils and body lotions.

As well as the above, avoid too much sun exposure, stop smoking, eliminate stress and prioritize beauty sleep to maintain optimum skin health and appearance.

Top 3 Oils for Reducing Stretch Marks

May 28, 2008

New discoveries help stretch marks disappear - click HERE

Is your skin sporting stretch marks? Let’s find out how you can reduce those reddish or glossy streaks of silvery white on your abs, hips, thighs, buttocks, upper arms or lower back. This scarring causes low self-esteem in some. Don’t feel bad, it happens to over 50% of the population including teens and men, not just us women. Even models have stretch marks but with photo retouching and makeup you’d never know it.

Dry skin is more prone to stretch marks so it makes sense to moisturize your skin with nutrient-rich oils to improve this condition and keep it from getting worse. Unfortunately, oily skin is not completely immune to stretch mark real estate. Learn how to look better with the following 3 oils.

The most important vitamin for your skin’s health is E. Apply vitamin E oil daily or break open a capsule and apply its contents after your shower.

To go a step further, you can make your own stretch mark oil without paying a fortune and still get the same results. Mix and blend together 1/2 cup virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup non-commercial aloe vera, and the contents of 6 capsules of vitamin E and 4 capsules of vitamin A. Refrigerate and store in a covered jar. Apply it daily to minimize the appearance of the unpopular stretch marks.

Another, and possibly better oil, is pure emu oil. It easily penetrates all the layers of the skin. (Stretch marks develop in the middle layer called the dermis.) Emu oil fades and removes scars and stretch marks. It is so effective it can be used on old scars.

Wheat germ oil stimulates tissue regeneration and has wonderful antioxidant properties. It must be diluted with a carrier oil such as olive or sweet almond because of its high strength. It has a strong odor and is a bit sticky. Because it is rich in minerals, vitamins (especially vitamin E), and proteins, wheat germ oil is good for reducing wrinkles, eczema, psoriasis, and of course, scars and stretch marks.

Don’t blame yourself if you have stretch marks, blame genetics. Just do your part and apply either vitamin E oil, emu oil, or wheat germ oil for excellent stretch mark reducing effects. The best part is that they are 100% natural.

72 ‘Unconventional’ Ways To Cure Your Acne

May 24, 2008

Some of the techniques in this rather long article are based on scientific research, some of the techniques are based on individual experiences and some are just ideas. Some of the treatments should be used in isolation, some of the treatments can be used together with other treatments. The techniques are outlined in no particular order.

Let’s get going…

1) Regularly consume apricot juice. It is a wonderful natural healer and has worked for many people.

2) Vitamin and nutritional supplements have been proven to work to eliminate acne. Vitamins A, C and E, plus Iron have been shown to work well to cure acne.

3) The optimal diet for preventing or improving acne breakouts is the Divide Your Plate In Four. Eat 1/4 protein, 1/4 whole grain complex carbohydrates, and 1/4 each of fruits and vegetables. I’ve written about this in more detail here

4) Avoid consuming too many oily, greasy and spicy foods.

5) Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Goes without saying, doesn’t it?

6) Include Aloe Vera juice in your diet.

7) Include high quantities of fibre in your diet to eliminate acne. Fibre helps to stimulate our waste disposal system and eliminate toxins which are a major cause of acne.

8) Caffeine, for some people, causes nasty acne breakouts. If you consume a lot of caffeine, try and cut it out.

9) If you consume a lot of milk or dairy products, then significantly cut down, or even completely eradicate them from your diet all together.

10) Seafood contains a high iodine content which has been shown to increase the chances of acne breakouts. Cut down your consumption of seafood.

11) Foods high in zinc have been shown to reduce the appearance of acne. Nuts, wholegrains and figs contain high quantities of zinc.

12) What acne elimination list would be complete without the age-old saying: “Eight glasses of water a day can keep acne away”.

13) Some people have experienced success by drinking Himilayan Goji Juice.

14) Almonds have been shown to reduce acne flare ups. Almonds contain an abundant supply of vitamin E and zinc which is an important mineral for reducing acne.

15) Oatmeal is another fantastic food for acne elimination. It contains zinc, vitamins A and E and a whole load of selenium. Consume oatmeal to get all the nutrients you need. Oatmeal is an ideal breakfast to get you going in the morning.

16) Broccoli is another fantastic acne buster. It contains vitamins A and E. For optimal effects, consume raw and fresh. Most leafy vegetables are good for skin.

17) The tropical fruit mango again contains healthy supplies of vitamins A and E. Consume blended as a smoothie or chopped up as a healthy snack.

18) Pumpkin seeds are loaded with zinc which is an excellent acne eliminator.

19) Whole grain bread contains vast quantities of fibre, which is essential for healthly living. It also contains high quantities of zinc and selenium which treat acne specifically.

20) Fish contains selenium and vitamin A as well as omega 3 fatty acids which is a highly important nutrient for skin.

21) Turkey is a fantastic low fat meat that is great for the skin.

22) Spinach is one of the dark, leafy greens (like broccoli) that contains a good dose of vitamins A and E, and also large quantities of zinc. Spinach can be served cooked or raw and has an endless amount of benefits for the skin, especially in eliminating acne.

23) Melon is another tropical fruit like mango that contains a large amount of vitamin A and can help to reduce or prevent flare ups of acne.

24) Red Raspberry, Black Cohosh, Marshmallow and Kelp can help to balance hormones and prevent acne breakouts, especially in women.

25) The herb Ginger helps to cleanse the kidneys and bowels, removes excess toxins from the body, and stimulates the circulatory system. This helps to reduce acne.

26) The herb Lobelia helps encourage the flow of oxygenized blood, which in turn helps remove obstructions, congestion and toxins. This again has a positive effect on acne.

27) Neem is one herbal remedy that is important for the maintenance of healthy skin and to decrease the appearance of wrinkles.

28) Burdock root helps balance hormones by cleansing the liver. It works well because it treats all the root problems of acne and eczema. It treats hormonal imbalance, poor digestion, inefficient liver function, overgrowth of candida or yeast, skin and intestinal bacteria, and overall toxicity. It even helps cleanse the blood and lymphatic system. (Extract from TransformYourBeauty.com)

29) Haemefine syrup is another herbal remedy that heals the skin by purifying the blood. It acts as a cure for eczema, pimples and acne. It also improves skin complexion and gives skin a natural glow.

30) Shudda Guggul capsules are another herb that is capable of purifying and rejuvenating the skin, and eliminating acne.

31) Kelp is an excellent herb to take for a variety of problems, especially acne, because it’s a potent source of many vitamins and minerals. It can help to restore the balance of vitamins and minerals in your body, which in turn will help clear up acne and other related health problems.

32) Drink herbal water. It is made by boiling hair of 1 corn, with 1 to 2 fenugreek seeds in a glass of water.

33) The first rule of acne elimination is to not pick, press, rub, squeeze or manipulate your pimples in any way. Doing so will simply aggravate them, increase the chances of spreading, and increasing the chances of scarring.

34) Washing the face helps, but don’t over cleanse. Over cleansing may lead to you irritating the sensitive skin.

35) Maintain a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of vitamins, minerals and fibre. Make sure you include plenty of zinc in your diet as this is a fantastic acne eliminator.

36) Use a mild soap and rub lightly with your fingertips and warm water at least twice a day.

37) Use a water based make-up.

38) Having a facial is not recommended. If you have acne, stay clear from facials.

39) Exposure to light also has proven to help in the fight against acne. Getting out in the sun is one of the best natural ways to cure acne.

40) Exercise regularly. Exercise helps in improving blood circulation and helps to eliminate toxins.

41) Keep your stress levels as low as possible. Stress worsens acne flare-ups and your overall skin condition. There many natural methods to reduce stress, such as regular exercise, relaxation techniques and herbal remedies.

42) Going on any cleansing or detoxifying diet will help clear up acne, but remember it can sometimes get worse before it gets better, because your body starts pushing toxins out faster once you start a cleanse.

43) Change your pillow sheets as often as possible. The bacteria gets on the pillow sheet and spreads when in cntact with your face, causing more acne breakouts.

44) Adequate sleep is an essential requirement for health, and especially for healthy skin. Get your full quota of rest each night to reduce acne breakouts.

45) Try to use an over the counter product at least once or twice a day. The product ideally should contain benzoyl peroxide. It helps to unclog the pore and forms an acne blemish. If you can’t get a product that contains benzoyl peroxide, then try a product with sulfur or resorcinol which unplug oil glands by irritating the skin.

46) Stay clear of iodine which can be found in many vitamins and iodized salt.

47) Antibiotics have been useful for some people when curing acne. Unfortunately, your body eventually becomes immune and the antibiotics become useless. Antibiotics also have some mild side effects. Doctors often prescribe antibiotics for acne patients.

48) For some people, acne is closely related to increased hormone levels. Some women suffer from acne at the same time each month during their menstrual cycle. Doctors sometimes prescribe birth control pills to balance the hormone levels and help to prevent the nasty breakouts of acne.

49) Honey has been used as a natural treatment for acne for many years. It has a natural antimicrobial action to help eliminate acne. Apply the honey on the skin as a mask for 10 minutes everyday.

50) One recent natural acne elimination method has been to apply toothpaste to the affected area. It works for some, it doesn’t work for many, but you could give it a go.

51) Regularly apply an ice pack to the affected area. It helps to reduce the swelling and redness and shrink the inflammation.

52) Press and hold a wet tea bag or a cotton bud with a dab of lemon juice on the affected area to reduce redness and swelling.

53) Slice a raw potatoe and rub it on the affected area. The vitamins reduce the redness and breaks down the bacteria causing the acne.

54) Apply cotton balls soaked in vinegar to the skin and then apply strawberry leaves to the pimples.

55) Apply a combination of egg white and lemon juice to the affected area and leave it on overnight.

56) Slit the pimple open and apply cotton balls soaked in salt water.

57) Apply mashed bananas blended with one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of sour cream.

58) Cornmeal and oatmeal pastes in water have also shown to improve the appearance of acne.

59) Apply natural oils such as lavender oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil and jojoba oil to reduce acne.

60) Almond oil is a home acne remedy that has worked for many. Grind an almond with water and apply over the face daily.

61) Apply Bengal Gram Powder mixed with curds to the face. Green Gram powder mixed in water is an excellent face wash in place of soap.

62) A good herbal face wash option is Chickweed tea. Dissolve chickweed capsules in warm water, bathe the face with it and rinse. Chickweed is also an excellent solution to use as a bath soak for other sores, rashes, boils and burns.

63) A paste of fresh Fenugreek leaves applied over the face every night and washed with warm water can rpevent blackheads, whiteheads, dryness, wrinkles and most importantly, pimples.

64) Try applying yeast and tee tree oil to the affected area. The yeast causes the dirt to rise to the surface of the skin and the tee tree oil acts as a natural antiseptic. It’s a good temporary solution to reducing the appearance of pimples.

65) To ease the removal of blackheads from your face, massage a small amount of jojoba oil into your skin before treating yourself to a facial sauna. The jojoba oil helps to soften the debris and hardened sebum, or oil, that clog up the pores. (Extract from TransformYourBeauty.com)

66) Bentonite clay works wonders for drawing impurities out of your clogged pores. It nourishes the skin with calcium and other minerals while it cleanses. It is inexpensive and you can use it as a whole body spa treatment in the comfort of your bathtub. (Extract from TransformYourBeauty.com)

67) Squeeze half a lemon into a glass of warm water and use to cleanse your face.

68) Apply crushed marigold leaves onto the acne affected area.

69) Boil a few plumbs, mash them to get 8 teaspoons of pulp, add a teaspoon of almond oil and apply on the face.

70) Make a paste of turmeric powder and apply evenly on the acne affected area.

71) Mix together neem leaves paste, a half teaspoon of turmeric powder, sandalwood paste and gram flour. Apply on the affected area and let it dry before rinsing off.

72) Grab a copy of Chris Gibson’s Acne Free in 3 Days guide. It’s worked for many, it might just work for you!

Phew, that’s a lot of methods of acne elimination. I’m not suggessting you try them all at once, but give some of them a go and see if they work for you!

If you have any other methods, herbs or recipes that have worked for you, then please leave a comment below with your suggestions.

How I Cured My Acne In 7 Days With Just One TINY Lifestyle Change

May 22, 2008

This article has been contributed by RevitaliseYourHealth.com reader Rachel Stead who reveals how she cured her acne in just 7 days with just ONE change to her diet.

————

I was 26 years old. I’d suffered from moderate to severe acne on my face, upper back and neck for just over four years.

I’d tried everything. I’d been to a doctor, I’d been to a dermatologist. I’d used natural methods, I’d used prescription drugs, but nothing worked.

I even bought an eBook online about how to cure acne. I’d spoken to four friends who had also bought it and it had worked for three of them. The book was called Acne Free In 3 Days. I followed the methods and noticed slight changes, but nothing major. I’m not saying the book won’t work for you, but it didn’t work for me.

I had almost given up hope. I was resigned to living the rest of my life with these unsighlty red spots.

Then one day…

I was watching a TV programme called Embarrassing Bodies. A doctor had gone into a school with 13-14 year olds to talk about acne. He was revealing some of the myths associated with why people get acne. I don’t remember exactly what they were now.

But, what I do remember is how strongly he emphasised how bad milk was for acne. I don’t know the biology of it, but apparently if you have acne, then milk is a big no no.

I’d never heard this, but decided to give it a go.

You see, I used to drink a LOT of milk. I’d have it on my cereal, I’d have milkshakes and often I’d just drink pint after pint of milk.

But I gave it all up.

I started on the morning of April 22nd and had noticed improvements within just 2 days. By April 29th my acne had virtually disappeared from my face, my neck and my upper back.

The relief was immense. No longer would I have to cover up my face. No longer would I feel embarrassed by my appearance.

I was cured.

Simply by eliminating milk from my diet I had eliminated my acne, sky-rocketed my confidence and greatly enhanced my life.

Give it a go for yourself.

Just a quick note. I’m not saying this method will definitely work for you. After all everybody is different. Everybody will have different cures that will work for them. But this is what did it for me, will it work for you?

Let me know if it does… or doesn’t by leaving a comment below.

If it doesn’t work for you, then try the Acne Free in 3 Days guide. It’s worked for lots of people. It may just work for you.

How To Get Younger Looking Skin Naturally

April 10, 2008

Before you begin, take a look at the revolutionary special report ‘Transform Yourself Through Natural Beauty‘ which reveals how you can dramatically TRANSFORM your appearance from dull and lifeless to vibrant and glamarous using completely natural techniques.

As our bodies start aging, one of the biggest things we notice is our skin. It doesn’t look quite so young, soft and supple anymore. Sometimes it starts drying out, becoming blotchy, and even wrinkling or sagging. This problem is more prevalent for women going through menopause, because one of the common symptoms of menopause is drier skin.

As we age, extended years of sun damage takes their toll. Our bodies change a bit too, the facial skin particularly stops producing as much oil as it used to, and it doesn’t produce as many antioxidents as it used to either. Both of these are contributing factors to your skin looking older. Combined with many years of stress, squinting at computer screens all day, or frowning in concentration all day while you’re working, wrinkles start developing in those areas of your face where creases form when you make faces. Alot of this can be reduced and sometimes completely reversed though.

There are many natural ways to help keep your skin looking more youthful and healthy though, and herbs and vitamins can play major roles in keeping your skin looking beautiful naturally.

The most important thing you need to help keep your skin looking beautiful and young, is water. Drinking lots of water each day is required to keep your body healthy in general, but many people don’t realize it plays a major role in keeping your skin healthy too. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water each day will provide your body with the water it needs, while also having enough to rehydrate your skin too. And when your skin is hydrated, it’s much softer, smoother and younger looking.

The second most important thing you can do for your skin to stay younger looking naturally, is be sure you’re getting proper nutrition. Nutrition can be controlled by the foods you eat of course, and there are many vitamins, herbs and supplements which help as well.

Many people don’t know however, that you can actually apply vitamins and antioxidents to your face directly too. Your skin is able to absorb what you put on to it. So by applying herbal salves, teas and facial washes, you’re not only cleaning and rehydrating your skin, you’re also able to give it the additional vitamins it needs too.

Citrus for example, is high in vitamin C. Using lemon juice to clean your face is an excellent way to combat acne and oily skin problems for younger people, and the vitamin C is absorbed into your skin as well. This extra vitamin C makes a great difference for people with older skin, not only gently cleansing, but also providing extra antioxident protection which can help the skin look smoother and younger.

Other types of natural face washes you’ll want to try include aloe vera: This helps remove dead skin cells and thus acts as a natural exfoliant; Chickweed: This herb used in tea form is excellent as an acne wash, plus it helps soothe and heal damaged skin; Kelp, Dandelion and Alfalfa: This combination taken internally helps improve hair, nails and skin because the combination is so rich in natural vitamins and essential minerals our bodies need.

Don’t forget to grab your copy of the revolutionary special report ‘Transform Yourself Through Natural Beauty‘.

Perfectly Clear Skin - What To Eat To Banish Nasty Breakouts

March 24, 2008

According to the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, intaking carbohydrates with a high glycemic index may hinder your ability to heal from breakouts. This is in part due to the fact that these types of foods cause blood sugar levels to rise rapidly. The optimal diet for preventing or improving breakouts is Divide Your Plate In Four. Eat 1/4 protein, 1/4 whole grain complex carbohydrates, and 1/4 each of fruits and vegetables.

The Journal of American Academy of Dermatology also reported in a study that a diet of low glycemic foods (brown rice, vegetables, and whole grain breads) with high protein (chicken and fish) showed an almost 50% overall decrease in pimples after 3 months.

Cherries, oranges, tomatoes, whole grain pastas, peanuts, artichoke, grapefruits, grapes, and squash are examples of foods that help you keep clear skin because of their low glycemic index. For a longer list you can check out glycemicindex.com .

This diet is not a 100% guarantee for pimple breakouts prevention or elimination, but it is definitely worth trying and following. If you intake too many high glycemic foods, you will greatly be increasing your chances of getting pimples and blemishes. This type of diet also leads to being overweight and increases the chance of the development of diabetes and heart disease.

Increase your chances of clear skin by following the Divide Your Plate in Four diet. Your waistline and your face will surely show the results by helping you look and feel your best.

Transform Yourself Through Natural Beauty will reveal additional tips for clear, glowing and smooth skin.

Eye Cream Anti-Aging Abilities

February 29, 2008

Plant-based holistic ingredients combined with today’s revolutionary age-defying technology gives us the best products for keeping our eyes younger longer. But before we go on, the best anti-aging beauty tip you can ever worship is the fact that hydrating your body is the best way to keep wrinkles away. It’s your best age-defying tactic, so drink up fresh invigorating water daily.

How do you know you need to start using eye cream? You can start at any age, but when you start feeling tightness around the eyes, then there’s dryness that definitely needs to be addressed. There may also be the raccoon eyes that don’t go away even though you are getting plenty of sleep. And, you can use your regular moisturizer if it contains anti-aging ingredients and sunscreen, but there will come a time when you will need to use both. Read on to learn which anti-aging eye creams and ingredients to look for and use because they are proven to work and do their job thanks to technology.

To alleviate redness and fine lines
Chamomile is the ideal natural choice for this problem. An excellent product to use is Grateful Body 30Plus Eye Cream which contains biodynamically grown azulene extract.

To reduce bags under the eyes
There’s a natural product that does this while protecting your skin from sun damage. Simply Divine Botanicals’ Pack Your Bags They’re Leaving Instant Gratification Eye Gel blends essential fatty acids with seaweed, cucumber, and essential oils.

To reduce puffiness and for anti-aging
To stimulate collagen synthesis and reduce puffiness, try Derma e Ester-C Firming Eye Creme. Apart from Ester-C, it contains green tea extract. There really are many excellent eye creams that contain vitamin C such as Jason’s and Physician’s Complex. Whichever you choose, you will surely be adding years of vibrancy to your eyes and face.

To plump up fine lines
To plump up fine lines you need hyaluronic acid because it attracts 1,000 times its weight in water. Wow. An excellent product you can try is Chae Organics Vital Eyes. It is toxin-free.

To delete those dark circles
This is not a product in itself, but a makeup beauty tip. Instead of applying a lighter concealor that will make your under eye area look caked use light deflecting mineral powder makeup. The natural shimmer will brighten the eye area and take the attention away from the dark circles.

Remember your number one defense is sound nutrition, and of course, adequate sleep, and proper water hydration. If you have a favorite eye cream product that you know works, please blog in with your comments.

Gorgeous Skin Now!

February 26, 2008

Get gorgeous skin by following these pro tips. Best of all, they’re all natural.

It doesn’t take a lot of work to look like red carpet glowing skin material yourself. It just takes a little discipline. Apart from a nutritious diet, regular exercise, and lots of sleep and play, you can get glowing by using these effective natural skin care basics.

1. Use a gentle cleanser instead of soap. Soap causes dryness and will strip away your natural oils which help keep wrinkles away.

2. Use lavendar or aloe-based toners and moisturizers for oily or blemished skin. They’re so very soothing. For dry skin use chamomile or rose in witch hazel. For normal skin they are all beneficial and healing.

3. If you truly want to be a glowing beauty this is the step you must not skip. Give yourself a facial sauna 3 to 4 times each month. Facial saunas will open the pores while washing away impurities. Here’s a recipe for your skin so you can get the gorgeous glowing skin we promised you.

Sauna Glow

Pour 4 cups (1 liter) of boiling water over 1 tea bag each of peppermint and chamomile in a large heatproof bowl. Keep it uncovered and let it steep for 2 minutes to avoid burns. Place a towel over your head and the bowl to let the steam enter your pores. Get your 10 minute sauna. For dry skin use 2 tablespoons of rose petals and 1 teaspoon almond oil. For oily skin use 2 tablespoons each of dried rosemary and lavendar in your steam water. Or, you can use 1/2 cup fresh parsley, 1/4 cup fresh peppermint (both chopped), and 1/2 lemon (sliced) for a deep cleaning and invigorating sauna.

Following these natural tips will certainly help you save money because you don’t need expensive products that can contain unnecessary chemicals. Get glowing and feel free to blog in with your favorite glowing skin care secrets!
