Forever Young: The Science of Nutrigenomics for Glowing, Wrinkle-Free Skin and Radiant Health at Every Age by Nicholas Perricone M.D. claims to contain the secret to keeping age related illness at bay. If your goal is to gain youthful skin and high vitality, I suggest obtaining a copy of this nice hardcover.

Nicholas Perricone M.D. is a well known celebrity dermatologist who doesn’t push excessive dieting or constant workouts. The methods in Forever Young rely mostly on a fat burning diet, supplements, and creams in order to help you achieve younger skin and an improved health.

In Forever Young, you’ll learn how to actually alter your gene expression using various nutrients and supplements recommended by Dr. Perricone. If you follow the directions in this book, you will feel better both inside and out. I like the section on wrinkle reduction, especially since it does not force you to rely on invasive procedures, but instead on feeding your body and your skin with the proper nutrients to stay healthy.

Dr. Perricone really digs deep in Forever Young. You’ll learn all pertinent information on free radicals, and how to help your body fight them. You’ll also discover which antioxidants you should take, and in the proper amounts. The section on making your own meal replacement shake was worth the price of the book, in my opinion.

On top of all that, there are plenty of recipes to help you fight aging, ward off sickness, and give yourself youthful energy. Also, if you enjoy getting some sun, but are afraid of the damaging rays. Dr. Perricone advises you on products that will limit harmful UV exposure, so that you can still get the Vitamin D benefits of the sun.

In addition, there is a chapter on Nutrigenomics that is quite eye opening. In it, Dr. Perricone explains how antioxidants can actually effect your gene expression. He also tells you about three superfoods chock full of antioxidants. A few of them will be a surprise to you.

Other chapters include information on fat loss, including a diet called the Metabolic Miracle diet, designed to burn fat but build muscle. There’s even an entire chapter just on skin care. If you have damaged skin already, there are plenty of suggestions to follow that may repair it and give you a youthful glow.

All in all, I highly recommend that you buy Forever Young by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. The information on diet, skin care, yoga, muscle building, and hydration is very comprehensive.
