Avocado is an extremely effective moisturising agent and is therefore perfect for dry skin. Mash up avocado into a smooth paste and apply to face, leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse firstly with warm water and then splash with cold water to close up pores.

4. Oil Therapy
Olive oil has always been a popular choice for dry skin because of its ability to deeply penetrate into the skin. It can also be used as a substitute for your regular daily moisturizer.
Before showering gently massage olive oil, almond oil, or coconut oil onto legs, hands, or entire body. Try adding essential oils to create a unique fragrance. After showering apply a light moisturizer.
5. Honey
Honey not only helps to lock in the moisture but it also contains anti-microbial and antioxidant properties, making it perfect for use in skin care products. Lightly heat 2 teaspoons of honey and apply it to your face, hands, and legs while warm. Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse.
For an even more powerful treatment, use Manuka honey – an even more antioxidant rich variety.
6. Banana Face Mask
Banana is yet another simple everyday pantry item that makes for a perfect base for an at home treatment for dry skin. Mix together ½ cup of natural yogurt, ¼ ripe banana, and 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply mixture to your face and neck, leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse.
7. Milky Way Express
Coconut milk is a miracle ingredient for dry skin, not only that but it can also help combat blemishes and dark spots. Rub coconut milk onto your face and body and leave on overnight. In the morning your face will be baby soft.
8. Vitamin-E Boost
Vitamin E is great for the skin, and not just for its antioxidant properties but also its moisturizing qualities. Pick up some vitamin E oil, mix with a few drops of lime juice then apply to entire body. Shower and feel the difference.
