avocado hair mask recipe

Avocados are not only good for you when consumed internally, they are also highly beneficial when applied directly onto your hair.

Avocados are a rich source of essential oils, antioxidants, and nutrients that help nourish and improve the condition and strength of the hair leaving it silky smooth and more vibrant.  Read on to discover just how beneficial avocados are for the treatment of a range of common hair related problems and how you can use them in your hair care routine.

Dry And Damaged Hair

Avocado contains natural moisturizing qualities and essential fatty acids to restore moisture in the hair.  If applied on a regular basis it will help prevent hair from drying out and therefore will strengthen brittle hair to prevent further damage and breakage. The high levels of vitamins and healthy oils are vital in restoring the health of the scalp and treating dry roots.

Hair Growth

Deficiencies in vitamins in the hair are directly related to scalp disease that result in hair loss as well as stunt the growth of hair.  By using avocado base treatments on the hair you can replenish these much needed vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Dandruff

Because of the natural moisturizers present in avocado this beneficial ingredient can help maintain a healthy scalp by increasing moisture levels of skin cells.  This will in turn help treat and prevent the effects of dandruff.

By massaging avocado into the hair and scalp it helps to hydrate the scalp and retains moisture.  It will noticeably strengthen hair and bring back its natural body and shine.  The act of massage will also help stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and scalp to help promote healthy cell and hair growth.
