  3. Thanks for sharing these! I keep a bottle of Bragg’s ACV in my kitchen and use it often in my cooking, salad dressing, etc. I also use it in the drinking water for my chickens to help keep them healthy :)

  7. I love apple cider vinegar. have been drinking something similar to the detox drink for a while now, and it’s great. It feels like I am drinking coffee. It energizes me a lot!

  8. Elizabeth Hunter says:

Thank you so much!!! My Great Grandmother told me alot of these things but always thought they were old wives tales but can’t wait to try them now with the measurements I can follow. Thank you!!

  9. Last night I made a household cleaner with Apple cider vinegar and lemons and just before I read this post, I was scrubbing my bathroom floor with Apple cider vinegar and a squirted of dish soap as my puppy had an accident today. When I have clothes that have sat to long in a damp environment, I pfewash with Apple cider vinegar. I clean my sinks once a month with baking soda and apple cider vinegar and it smells great. Yes I could use white vinegar but apple cider vinegar works and smells so much better.

  10. It will prevent poison ivy if you apply to skin soon after being exposed. Just apply, rub, then rinse off. I read this tip in the Missouri Conservationist sent in my a gentleman who said he had done this all his life and never had poison ivy. I do this myself and find it to work.

  11. Jennifer McDonald says:

You can also mix 1/2 cup with 1/2 cup of Dawn dish soap in some hot water and use the mixture to safely treat fleas on your pet without chemicals. You should apply it with a spray bottle and leave it on the pet.

  12. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful post over at Tiny Tip Tuesday, Daisy! It was the number one link from last week and will be featured tomorrow on the blog! Yay! :)

  13. Congratulations in being nominated for the People’s Choice Award on Wildcrafting Wednesday. I dropped by to check out your post because I saw your link there. I just started using acv as a tonic and cold remedy and I’m a believer now in its effectiveness. Thanks for your post.
