Hair. There are plenty of advertisements for men and the apparent inevitability of thinning or just complete loss of hair. Products like Rogaine or institutes like Bosley Medical offer different options for those who need help with their hair. I, myself, never thought that women would have this problem. I have always had thin hair—unfortunately I got my dad’s genes on his dad’s side—but it was never a problem. Well, not until I got older and realized that the front of my hairline was thin enough to see my scalp. That was definitely a problem. I am in my early 20s and have thinning hair. I lived with it for years until I finally realized how much I disliked looking at pictures of myself and seeing the thin hair. Finally turning 27, changing my thoughts and seeing the real problem, I decided it was time to find a solution. First thing to do is to find something that actually works. The best way to do that is to find others who have used products and have seen results. I am lucky enough to have a certified, cosmetologist sister who has plenty of experience in this area. I told her my problem, and she recommended a product that her boss had used at their salon and had good results with her hair. The product is called Nioxin. Nioxin has multiple kinds of system kits; each is specifically designed to treat a hair problem. From hair breakage, thinning hair, fine hair, cuticle damage and oily scalps, Nioxin has a system kit for the problem. The system I needed was for thinning hair called “Nioxin System 2 Kit”. There are three parts to the system. First the cleanser, next the scalp therapy and finally the scalp treatment. The first part will remove any follicle-clogging sebum—oily or wax buildup—fatty acids as well as environmental residues. The second part is a lightweight conditioner that will help hair be more resilient and be able to better control moisture balance. Finally, the third step has extra antioxidants and botanicals that help the scalp be more refreshed. I tried it out, and I can attest to seeing results the first two weeks I used it. My hair felt smoother as it moved instead of sticking together. My scalp felt cleaner as I stopped scratching. I felt and saw an actual difference. Others even saw the difference in health of my hair. It was definitely worth it to at least try it out. I definitely recommend Nioxin and its products. With so many products out there, find an expert. Find someone who has experience. You may be surprised with the results if you do. About The Author: Miscelleana Rhinehart has been writing for years.
